Firstly, for my preliminary task i had to create a video of two people entering a room and are having a conversation. For this task my partner was Chris Mitsinga. We usually work well with each other especially on this occasion because it was a important task for us to complete so we put in 100 percent to ensure that we could do the best that we could with the filming.
One of the things in which went well with my preliminary task is that we managed to finish in time and there was no need to rush anything throughout the period of time that we were given to finalise our editing. However, one of the drawbacks from this preliminary task is that we filmed too much clips which made my video longer than the maximum amount of time we were usually given so i had to cut down some scenes which made the video much better because I could include more transitions between most scenes.
Above is the software in which i used to edit my video. It is called final cut pro. Final cut pro was really good for my editing because it gave me a variety of different things i could have in my video. For example: multiple sounds, animations and transitions. When I first used this software i found it extremely complicated and would think that it would be hard for me to get used to but it's not.
This scene was one of the most challenging scenes out of the other clips to shoot. This was due to us constantly getting the camera shot wrong and not used in the correct time so it took us a while to figure out the best way to shoot this clip which was by using over the shoulder shot to show one character talking at a time.
For this task we decided to base it on someone nervous going to a job interview which displayed by Me and then ends up escaping due to pressure in which is created by the interviewer who is played as Chris. We chose to do this scenario because it would be interesting for our audience to watch and it was completely different to what others previously had done. I think that our preliminary task went well because there was no serious drawbacks which caused us to mess up which was a positive outcome.
